Meet the Family

Ray Lindsey, Sr. 1913 – 2001

As the son of a builder, Grandpa Ray Lindsey, Sr. built his first home on Maui in 1945 after serving his country during WW2. He founded Ridgeline Homes, Inc. as a Lindsey family corporation to be handed down to his “seeds” so that the tradition of quality home building would continue.

Ridgeline Homes Inc., Maui Home Builders: drafting servicesA third-generation builder, Henry has been a licensed contractor on Maui since 1983 and has supervised and built over 1500 homes on Maui. He has been involved in the development of multiple subdivisions, including Kulamanu where he has designed and built a majority of the homes.
Henry has a passion for designing homes and has extensively studied and toured the homes of architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright and the Greene and Greene Brothers.

As the founder of Lindsey Building & Co. and the first RME of Ridgeline Homes, Inc. his body of work includes six consecutive award-winning homes (two in Kulamanu), during the annual Building Industry Association sponsored Parade of Homes events.

His extensive community involvement through the years includes President Upcountry Jaycees, awarded Outstanding Local Chapter President in the State of Hawaii, out of 52 Chapters; JCI Lifetime Achievement Award (JCI Senator); President of Makawao Elementary School PTA for 2 years, awarded outstanding PTA in Maui County 2 Consecutive years; President of the Maui Chapter of the National Association of Home Builders for 2 years.

Henry is currently a licensed Real Estate Agent in the State of Hawaii and is a part of the Kulamanu Realty team.

Jacob Lindsey, President and Operations Manager

Jacob is the grandson of Ray Lindsey Sr. and the youngest son of Henry E. Lindsey. Born and raised in the family construction business, he has worked in all facets. In 2000 he began managing all sitework operations, directly coordinates and supervises all aspects of excavation, concrete work, landscaping and hydro mulching thru Ridgeline Homes, Inc. sitework division, Maui Earth Movers. Projects he successfully completed using his skills includes a residential golf course and rural subdivisions on Maui.

His leadership started early in Boy Scouts and Sports. Jacob was awarded most inspirational on the Maui High Varsity Soccer team. Besides tending to his specialized coffee and taro farming, Jacob is an avid hunter and has appeared in a national publication with his uncle and cousin. He has been active in the Portuguese Club, including an official Azorean trip with a group representing Maui.

Joshua Lindsey, RME

Joshua is the grandson of Ray Lindsey Sr. and the oldest son of Henry E. Lindsey. Born and raised in the family business his leadership started early on in the Boy Scouts, Captain of the JV Basketball team as well as the Captain of the Maui High Football team. Joshua played football for Fort Lewis College Skyhawks.

He returned to Maui, after college and started as Operations Manager and completed the construction of his first house in 2004. Joshua was licensed as a General Contractor in 2011 and took the reins from his father as Principle RME for Ridgeline Homes, Inc. in 2014.

He backed up his commitment to support his community by leading multiple organizations including but not limited to, President of the Kihei Chapter of Business Network Incorporated. (BMI) Chairman of the Real Property Tax Board Maui County, President of the Upcountry Rotary, and Chairman of Give Aloha Special Day Benefit Supporting families and Veterans.

With boundless energy and vitality, Joshua has a sincere connection with everyone he meets. He relaxes by playing and watching sports and the movies. He loves the outdoors and making people laugh. He says, “My greatest joy in life is laughing out loud. When people engage in laughter, it connects us all.”

Alika Billson, Equipment Operator

AlikaAlika comes from a long line of equipment operators on Maui for the past 75 years. As a young boy he hung out with his late maternal grandfather, Leonard Gomes, Sr., of Gomes Builders. The Gomes family on Maui has a strong reputation as superb heavy equipment operators.
Having more than 20 years of experience, Alika provides skill and accuracy to all phases of excavation, rockscapes and concrete work. He is proficient in handling heavy machinery of all types.
Alika is a 7th generation descendant of Captain McKee who founded Rose Ranch, now known as Ulupalakua Ranch. He received leadership training through the Boy Scouts, and is an avid sportsman and fisherman.
